Talk:Avolar (UAL Corporation subsidiary)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
All:
I see that this page has been marked for speedy deletion. However, Avalor was a genuine subsidiary of United Airlines Inc., existed in mid-2001 and through March 2002. If successful, this would have been the first fractional jet subsidiary of any major US airline.
I plan to add other information about Avolar. Since this is in no way a commercial solicitation of any sort, I am not sure why this should be deleted.

- The speedy request is not because it's spam, it's because there's no assertion of notability in the article. You need to get some sources and write a full-fledged article, without any original research (such as "if successful, this would have been the first fractional jet, etc.") JuJube 22:19, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Okay, I am adding references
Jujube, others,
Thanks for the explanation. I am adding references and will make this more substantive. This is my first article on Wiki, hence these errors. I am going through the guidelines and incorporating them into the page as I am able to.
Thanks, Ramnarasimhan 23:42, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
- I have removed the tag because the article asserts notability now, and have moved it to what seems to be a better name. Picaroon 01:34, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
Would this article still be considered a stub? I have added a few reference and tried to round out the brief history of Avolar. Not sure what else is needed to make this a non-stub article. Thanks, Ramnarasimhan 04:09, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
- Usually, articles should be longer than this before they are declared start-class, but if you think all the info has been exhausted, then you can remove the stub tag. Picaroon 18:24, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
