Avignon Foot 84 is a French football team from the city of Avignon, Vaucluse, currently playing in Division d'honneur (6th division in the French football league system).

The team was founded in 1931 as Association Sportive Avignonaise. The club was professional from 1942 till 1948. The club was renamed as Olympique Avignonnais in a merger with Saint-Jean team and became professional in 1965.

In 1975, the team got promoted into Division 1, winning the playoffs against FC Rouen. But the 1975-1976 season was disastrous, the club finished last with 20 Points, 7 victories, 6 draws, 23 defeats, 30 buts scored and 80 buts allowed. The club was relegated in Division 2 in 1976 and had to forsake its professional status in 1981 due to financial problems.

Playing in fourth division in 1983-1984, the team played came back in Division 2 from 1989 to 1991, but was relegated in sixth division (Division d'honneur) in 1994. The club was renamed Club Olympique Avignonnais in 1992 after a merger with Sporting Club Avignonais. In 2003, the club assumed its current name.
