Aviezer

Aviezer, a small moshav (communal agriculture settlement) in Regional council (Israel) of Mate Yehuda was established by the Hapoel Hamizrachi organization in Israel.

It is situated 9 km south-west of Beit Shemesh and 35 km from Jerusalem. It was founded on 8.4.1958 by new immigrants from Iran and Kutzin as "Adulam 9".

It derives its name from Aviezer Zigmond Gestetner, former president of the Jewish National Fund in England.

In 1992 there were 48 families in Aviezer, about 210 people. Between 1992-1995 70 families joined the moshav and in 2006 its population is 600 people.
