This template takes temperature and precipitation values and generates a table. Input is automatically converted from degrees Fahrenheit and inches to degrees Celsius and centimeters. The parameters are as follows:

• The first twelve (unnamed) parameters are the record high temperatures, from January to December. Do not place a degree (°) symbol by the value, and use a simple hyphen (-) for negative values.
• The next twelve parameters are the average high temperatures.
• Then average low temperatures, and
• Record low temperatures.
• The next parameters are the average rainfall.
• The source parameter is used to cite the table information. You can use a {{cite …}} template in here directly, or you can use <ref>{{cite …}}</ref>.

Here's an example, from Richmond, Virginia:

Note that the vertical bars must come at the end of each line; otherwise, the template interprets the trailing newline character as part of the numerical value and the display is messed up.
