Ava Shamban

Ava Shamban is an American dermatologist who is Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at UCLA. She is the featured dermatologist on ABC's Extreme Makeover (Seasons 1-4) and has developed AVA MD, her own line of specialty skin care products.

In 1978, she graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University with a A.B. degree in psychology. After earning her M.D. degree in 1982 from Case Western Reserve University Medical School in Cleveland, Ohio, she completed a year-long internship in internal medicine at the [Mt Sinai Hospital, Cleveland Ohio)].
