The article is headed "Australian Company Numbers" but the lead concept is the ABN. This is illogical and potentially confusing.

As a matter of history, the ACN was in use before the ABN so it makes chronological sense to discuss the ACN and how that works before differentiating to the ABN.

The two articles were seperate but some twerp merged them. I do not know why. If you want to rewrite go ahead. Albatross2147 07:45, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
