JonHarder:

I'm not sure if this is the right place to put a topic like this, nor do I know if this issue has been discussed before. My question is if any of you knew if there are any of the "Songs of the Ausbund" available online in digital form somewhere? So far as I have researched, I marvel that the Ausbund hasn't been e-texted yet, especially since that hymnal was such an integral part of Anabaptist/Mennonite history. Additionally, I realize that much of original prose and poem structure is locked away in the German language.

Harmonies Workshop, located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania area, records acappella Mennonite and Amish music. You can listen to 30 second segments of several Ausbund hymns recorded at Amish worship services here. Disclosure: I am associated with the latter site so can't place the link on the article page because of conflict of interest issues. JonHarder talk 01:11, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
