Ausdruckstanz

Ausdruckstanz is the name given to German Expressionist dance. Most notable in this style are Mary Wigman, Kurt Jooss and Rudolf Laban. Literal translation is "dance of expression."

Other names for Ausdruckstanz that have fallen out of use include Moderner Tanz, Absoluter Tanz, Freier Tanz, Tanzkunst and Bewegungskunst.
