think "von Fallersleben" means "from Fallersleben" was not part of his name, indicating nobility, only indicating his place of birth. --Spacey 21:00, 27 Apr 2004 (UTC)

that´s correct, and Hoffmann is a very common name in germany, so he wanted to separate from other Hoffmanns Iwantedthedudebutitwasgone 02:47, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
