Augustus Jackson

Augustus Jackson was the inventor of modern ice cream manufacture. He also developed several new flavors of ice cream around the year 1832.[citation needed] He is sometimes noted as the "Father of Ice Cream". Augustus was a candy confectioner from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the U.S. who created several ice cream recipes and invented an improved method of manufacturing ice cream around 1832. Augustus Jackson was the head chef in the White House around 1820-30,[citation needed] but later resigned. He moved to Philadelphia to improve ice cream and his flavors, and became very well-known ice cream as well as him becoming famous.Augustus Jackson was born on April 16, 1808.
