[edit] History

The school was founded in 1958 as a small class. They met for years in South Augusta, and moved to the Batson Road campus in 1973. The school grew in the 1980's and 1990's as new buildings were built. The School of Talent Development was founded in 1990 to service students with learning differences and has been a real ministry in the community.

In 2005, the elementary school moved to a former church building nearby. In 2008, due to declining economy and falling enrollment, plans were made to sell the elementary property and move back to just one property again.
