I have added a history section, to where I have moved "the origin of the term". A problem I can see is that this article has sections only on audiology in GB and India, while now the history refers only to the USA! Maybe an audiologist historian can fix that, so that one has an overview of the development in the world. This is probably closely related to technological advances, as much as to a caring ethos and clinical skills. The profession being of recent origin, my guess is that the documentation should be available somewhere.
