Auburn is a railway station on the Southern and Western lines of the CityRail network. It is located in the Sydney suburb of Auburn, which is a well established residential and commercial area. It has four running tracks and two island platforms. At the western end of the station are goods marshalling yards.

Platform 1:

• Western Line - limited stops services to Central; then to Lindfield, Gordon, Hornsby and Berowra via the North Shore Line.

Platform 2:

• Western Line - all stations and limited stops services to Blacktown, Riverstone, Richmond, Penrith and Emu Plains.

Platform 3:

• South Line - limited stops services to Central and the City Circle (clockwise).

Platform 4:

• South Line - limited stops services to Glenfield and Campbelltown.
