Auburn Senior High School is a public high School in Auburn, Washington founded in 1903.

Auburn offers Advanced Placement classes in Computer Science, Biology, Calculus, English, U.S. History, European History, and Government [1]. Six foreign languages are taught. Five of the six- French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish- go up to the 7/8 (4th year) level, three years of Latin are available and two years of American Sign Language.

Auburn Senior High School has one of the oldest Troupes in the International Thespian Society. The oldest in the state of Washington, Troupe 17, is run at AHS, and has members joining and graduating every year.

Auburn moved to the SPSL (South Puget Sound League) 3A in the fall of 2006. After only two years in the SPSL 3A Auburn along with Auburn Riverside will be moving to the 4a classification starting fall 2008. No details have been released on which league they will join.

Recent success at the State Championship level include:

  • 1st in 2001 Wrestling.
  • 2nd in 2007 Baseball, 2006 Wrestling, 2006 Baseball, 2002 Wrestling, and 2001 Boys Track and Field.
  • 3rd in 2006, Football, and 2003 Wrestling.
  • 4th in 2007 Wrestling, 2004 Gymnastics, 2001 Gymnastics, and 2001 Baseball.
  • 6th in 2004 Wrestling, and 2002 Wrestling.

[edit] Taylor Trophy

Football trophy given/kept to/by the winner of the yearly football rivalry between Auburn Senior High School and Kent-Meridian High School dating back to 1908. Dr. Owen Taylor created the trophy presentation in 1929. The rivalry is rumored to be the second oldest football rivalry west of the Mississippi River. The trophy has been won by Auburn High School lately and is currently on display in the schools' Gym Lobby.

Football trophy given kept annually to/by the winner of the football rivalry between Auburn and Auburn Riverside dating to 1995. The trophy has yet to have been won by Auburn Riverside in the trophy's short 12 game list. It is unclear whether Auburn Mountainview will be included in the trophy stakes, and even more unclear is how a three-way trophy would work.
