Lake Cootapatamba, an alpine lake within the Kosciuszko National Park, formed by the action of an ancient glacier leaving a moraine.
The lake is just below Mount Kosciuszko.
Other similar lakes are: Lake Albina, Club Lake, Blue lake, and Hedley Tarn.
I took this picture in late summer (May 2005). During winter, this area is covered in snow.
