Atwal's forefather who setteled in Punjab was named Baba Hadal who fonded village named 'PHARALA' district Nawanshahar. Baba Hadal had three brothers as well. These three brothers fonded villages named 'CHITTI', 'KHURD PUR' in district Jalandhar and one village in Gurdas Pur named 'ATWAL'. Any Atwal living in any other village or city has been migrated from one of these villages mainly from PHARALA. Even these Atwals has founded a proper village in Pakistan's district Layl Pur now konwn as Fiasla Bad and that village was named PHARALA as well. And that village is well known in Pakistan these days.
