Article Grading:

I wrote the Challenger Series article because I came across a request for it in another article. I did not know this other article existed.

Mine is clearly a thorough entry, as far as the text goes. This version has two advantages over mine: the Challenger logo and the external links.

The line about prominent ATP players in this version appears to have been written by Kristian Pless or his mother, since Pless 'is' a Challenger player, with a ranking in the 70s and 80s most of this year. And it doesn't mention the highest rated player in a Challenger this year, which is Tursunov, who was #21 in March playing Sunrise, FL before the MS event in Miami. But I don't think it is really a relevant point. My article has a reference (which now that I know better how to add References, I should fix that section) for actual tournament results that demonstrate the quality of players in a regular week vs. a special week such as the 2nd week of a grand slam.

So I would say go ahead, merge the two by using the text from my article, and fix the references so they are actually inline. And fix the External Link in this article for the Challenger schedule on the ATP site, since that link is broken. ShabbatSam 06:46, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:ATP Challenger.jpg

Image:ATP Challenger.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
