Much of the information on this page seemed to be redundant or difficult to read; hopefully it is better now. I added additional new information, most of it is from an educational website I wrote [1], sources are cited there. --Lecanard

[edit] Title

Either the title of this article should be changed to simply "ATP-binding cassette transporter" or it should be split into two articles, one of which would be named ATP-binding cassette transporter". In my opinion the former is more appropriate, since the article mostly discusses structure, function, etc. of the actual protein rather than the gene coding for it. If anyone agrees, please do so. Otherwise I will make the change in a week or so unless someone objects. Aurimas 06:03, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
