[edit] Diction

  • The given reformed diction is correct ([1]).
  • The given traditional spelling cannot be correct. It should be either Ատոմ Էգոեան or Ատոմ Էգօեան, pronounced as Adom Ekoyan by Western Armenians.

I got the impression that somebody ”invented” the traditional diction who does not know it. I am not a specialist of WA but have you ever heard of a Western Armenian who writes Պաղտասար in order to preserve the Classical pronunciation? I think Ադոմ is nonsense.

By the way, I do not like to label the diction Ատոմ Եգոյան as EA. Only the pronunciation makes the different between EA and WA, as some Eastern Armenians (especially պարսկահայեր) do not use the, sorry, Soviet diction. Kuddeldaddeldu 13:26, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
