Is this encyclopedic, or just advertising? -- Schnee 15:29, 7 Aug 2003 (UTC)
interesting too: according to a quick search on uspto.gov Atmel has some 257 patents. unfortunately i dont know enough english to include this in the article in a good way.
- If you can supply the link here, I can add relevant text with good wording (notify me in my Talk, if you've done that, because I don't continuously follow all articles...). As far as I can tell, the article is sufficiently encyclopedic, compared to Motorola or Archos, because it's quite laconic. -Mardus 21:30, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
This seams a bit "smear"-ish. The part about the CEO "taking control in a questionable manner" is unnecessarily vague and insinuates gross wrongdoing (libel?). The biased language about improving profits by "slashing" jobs is unfortunate, as well. The organization of the text could use some work too... why does the paragraph about downsizing end with "It is headquartered in San Jose, California"?? --24.255.42.124 06:50, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Acronym expansion
Because ASIC has many meanings, someone should expand text in the link, because I am not quite sure as to which expansion of the acronym in the disambig page is the right one. -Mardus 21:36, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
