Talk:Asymmetric multiprocessing
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Does Asymmetric multiprocessing refer to identical processors asymmetrically sharing the workload, or does it also encompass dissimilar processors working together on the same task? For example, do the SNES and the Playstation 2 qualify as being asymetrically multiprocessing? --Martin Rudat(T|@|C) 02:02, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
- I don't know about the SNES, but IMHO the PS2 and the PS3 would qualify as an asymmetric system. --Pezezin 23:12, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Complete Answer To "What Does This Article Refer To"
- As of now, this page refers to both Asymmetric multiprocessing AND Asymmetric multiprocessors. It is a very confusing topic that I feel should be in one place as
many will come looking for one thing but want the other. In the grand scheme of things, both topics to come together and become the same thing. Its all one idea, broken down into different areas of computing. G7a (talk) 05:09, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
