Aswarby (pronounced 'as-r-bee') is a village in Lincolnshire, England Aswarby lies beside the A15 road between Sleaford and the point where it crosses the A52 road, near Threekingham.

The English writer M.R. James (18621936), an antiquarian and academic widely regarded as one of the greatest practitioners of supernatural short fiction; his specialty was antiquarian ghost stories, one of which was set in Aswarby Hall. Most people who have read these stories do not realise that the Hall actually existed, though it was sadly demolished after the war. Only the entrance gates remain.
