The picture is used in the article One For My Baby to illustrate the artist performing the song and dance routine from The Sky's the Limit. This is particularly noteworthy as this now-famous song was specially composed for Astaire who gave the first ever performance in the fore-mentioned film.
The photograph as reproduced here is of a resolution substantially inferior to the original.
