(1)Half of the assembly's members are elected every four years, and (2)half are the presidents of parish boards (juntas de freguesia) that compose the municipality.
This is not correct! (1) This number is determined according to a Decree-Law (Decreto-Lei 169/99, de 18-Setembro), which classifies the municipalities and civil parishes in stages concerning the number of electors. (2) Adding to the number of municipal deputies there is a (inerência) reserved place for each of the civil parish president.
This may be a particular case where the number of elected deputies equals the number of civil parishes (presidents)!
