[edit] This article is very un-encyclopedic

While I appreciate finding information about Asilomar, this article does not conform to the model that encyclopedia entries should follow.

If all of the information came from a certain web page, then maybe this entry should be reduced to a stub with a link to that page?

[edit] assessment

ive cleaned up the tone some and it still needs work but at least can qualify as as start class article now. Anlace 03:10, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] probably Copyright violation, delete the article suggested

Despite cleanup, the article cites no sources. Above is mentioned the one original source for the article with assertion that it is a public domain source. However, a California state website is not a Federal website which would be public domain. I suggest the article is best deleted, and leave room for new editors to start over. I am marking it with "copyvio" tag now, assuming it still includes copied material from the source that is not in fact public domain. Even if it does not, the article is best deleted. doncram (talk) 21:13, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

i withdraw copyright vio tag, as i don't care to investigate this properly. Have created a separate article on Asilomar Conference Grounds, which is a National Historic Landmark, and deleted section on it from this article on the state beach. doncram (talk) 22:13, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
