Asim Ghosh

Asim Ghosh is the Managing Director of Vodafone Essar, earlier branded as Orange, then Hutch, and now branded as Vodafone. He was recently very much in the news because of a highly followed acquisition of Hutch-Essar by Vodafone.

It was all his efforts that brought the company to such heights that it was valued at over US$ 18 billion.

Asim Ghosh received his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Delhi in 1969. and proceeded to obtain an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania in 1970.[www.iitd.ernet.in/convocation/awards.html]
