Asian Italians are people whose ethnic ties are from South or East Asia, but who currently reside in Italy.
The term is not to be confused with Middle Eastern Italians, who are people from West Asia or North Africa (the Middle East).
The opposite term is Italian Asians, which are those that are ethnically from Italy but now reside in the included areas of Asia.
The number of Asian Italians has vastly grown in the last century, with a great influx of people coming from LEDC Asian countries in search of a better quality of life.
