Welcome to my home on the Wikipedia. Offline, I work as a Hardware Engineer at Broadcom - UK. I have been working here since July 2006 in the Build team (back-end flow). I previously worked at Imagination Technologies, Kings Langley , UK. I currently live in the northern part of Bristol with my wife.

Setup & Hold times
Setup time for a clocked circuit refers to the amount of time the data which is sampled by that clock needs to be held stable at a value at which it is to be sampled before the rising edge of the clock (for rising edge trigger).
Hold time for a clocked circuit refers to the amount of time the data signal needs to be held stable at the same value after the clock edge before it can be changed for the data to be sampled perfectly.
