[edit] Heavy POV, Advertising

The article did read an awful lot like an Ashok Leland sales brochure. I've removed all the advertising and POV (such as how brilliant its leadership is). I've also removed all the non-notable stuff such as the huge sections on the company's financial auditing and IT departments, which are only a minor parts of a manufacturing company. I've also reorganized the article into three sections for easier reading. -- Shinmawa 20:16, 22 December 2005 (UTC)

I deleted the comment since it sounded inappropriate. NG NG 09:31, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Brief profile

Since this has to be a brief profile on the Compnay, have removed the para titled 'leadership' and made some factual changes. Would request the person who originally posted the para on 'leadership' to abstain from uploading again. thanks.

[edit] Company history

The company is said to have started manufacturing trucks with an equity participation of "British Leyland" in 1955. Even though Ashok Leyland's site also says so, British Leyland did not exist till 1968. I think they mean Leyland Motors Ltd. which later became British Leyland with the merger of it self and British Motor Holdings. Can any one verify which company they really had the equity stake from? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.238.244.82 (talk) 16:26, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] To can't sleep clown will eat me

STOP reverting the changes. There are some factual inaccuracies in the post. Please refer to the Company before posting. Or the least you can do is ... to stop reverting the changes.

I understand what you are saying. However, looking over your edits, you've made many changes without any indication of why you've made them. To the RC patrollers, this often looks like vandalism. If you'd like to contribute, I make these recommendations which might make your life a bit easier:
  1. Register as a user. It's free and requires no personal information.
  2. Always, always, always use the edit summary. Tell people why you are making the changes in the summary. If you want to go into more detail, place a short summary followed with "refer to talk page" or similiar language.
  3. Read WP:OWN. Your demands on what other editors can and can't do may be misconstrued as not being WP:CIVIL.
  4. Read WP:CITE and WP:V. The information that you've been deleting came from their own website. If you wish to contest factual entries, be sure you have sources to back them up.
  5. SIGN YOUR POSTS (use four tildes ~~~~)
I hope this helps. -- ShinmaWa(talk) 03:09, 4 February 2006 (UTC)

Regarding the number of plants and the one in Hyderabad, this is from the website: Ashok Leyland has six manufacturing plants - the mother plant at Ennore near Chennai, two plants at Hosur (called Hosur I and Hosur II, along with a Press shop), the assembly plants at Alwar, Bhandara and the castings plant at Hyderabad. The total covered space at these six plants exceeds 450,000 sq m and together employ over 11,500 personnel. -- ShinmaWa(talk) 04:54, 4 February 2006 (UTC)

Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
