Talk:Ashly Covington

Here we are, then - I've created a new article on this model. The first thing we're going to have to do if we want the article to stay around for long is find some reliable sources to back up what the article says about Ms. Covington. While her own website might do for some facts, what we really need are reliable sources independent of her; after all, I could start up a webpage claiming that my hands had stood in for Mel Gibson's, but that doesn't make it true. So, how about it - do you know of any reliable third party sources that can verify the things that we've written about Ashley Covington? Sarcasticidealist (talk) 01:33, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
On a goggle search for Ms. Covington, the James Madison University Alum page came up with a short bio of the previous student. The bio states "ASHLY COVINGTON ‘98. In addition to her acting, Ashly specializes as a hand model, with national print and television ads for companies such as Nextel, Jello, Circuit City, Gillette, Rembrandt toothpaste, and Reynolds Wrap. Her hands grace a cover of Popular Photography." JMU Alum Page WordsToLiveBy (talk) 03:29, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
Sarcasticidealist - you are a prince among the wiki-ites!! I am searching for the citiations required, but since much of her work appears on commercials or in print ads, it's difficult to pin down the exact information needed. However, I will be putting in the information as soon as it is confirmed. Thank you again for all your help!71.207.129.118 (talk) 01:18, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
Some footnotes have been added for citation purposes, but I'm not sure if I coded them correctly. Please advise as you have time and I will get the information for the other citations that I can locate. Again - much appreciation for your kindness here. Nancy73 (talk) 02:16, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
- I've fixed the formatting a little bit, and we're off to a good start. However, some of the statements in the article (the clients named and the stars whose hands she's replaced) still aren't backed up by the references in there, so we'll either need to find some references to back those up or take out the statements entirely. Note that references don't have to be available online. Sarcasticidealist (talk) 21:03, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
