I don't understand this part,

"the Great Hanshin earthquake of 1995, and was rebuilt and transformed into an upper middle class suburban community."

This is incorrectly.Certainly,some area of ashiya is sustain great damage by "the Great Hanshin earthquake of 1995",it has already been area of residences at mountain side from 19th century.[1]

I will make some revisions.
