Asela Jayampathi Rajasundara Waidyalankara was born in 29th of june in 1984, is Currently a graduate from Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology and studying a bachelor of Laws Degree in the Open University of Sri Lanka.

Asela was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka. He was schooled in one of the most prestigious Buddhist schools in the country ; Nalanda College (1990-2003). He was the lead Actor in the first Nalandaian Shakespeare Drama (Macbeth) to receive the Minstry of Education English Day Shakespeare Drama Competition all Island award, also Waidyalankara served as president of the English Literary association from 1998 to 2000, and was a school prefect from 1998 to 2000.

His father was educated at Malidaeva College, Kurunagala and is currenly serving in the Sri Lanka Police as a SSP (Senior Superintendent of Police) and is Director of the Women and Children's Bureau.
