I was born in 1981 in Seattle and still live here. Yes, its rainy here. I found Wikipedia very much by accident and have been hooked on looking through it ever since. After lurking for over a year, I finally signed up. My other interests are sci-fi, heavy metal music, reading (especially sci-fi novels, but I read other fiction too), writing, and astronomy (I will miss you Pluto!).

My screen-name comes from the mountain on Mars (see Ascraeus Mons). It is also the name of a warship central to a military sci-fi novel I am working on.
