Can religion be considered Ascribed on some level? Those born into particular religions. -- LogicX 19:29, 13 December 2005 (UTC)

while being born into a religion is asrcibed, the issue here is whether some religions have greater status than others. So, if your social rank is based on the religion into which you were born, yeah that's ascribed status, but unless real prestige is conferred....
