Ascot Chase

The Ascot Chase is a Grade 1 National Hunt chase in the United Kingdom for five-year-old and above horses. It is run over a distance of 2 miles 5½ furlongs (4,325 metres) at Ascot Racecourse in February. There are seventeen fences to be jumped in the race.
The present distance was introduced in 2008 having been run at 2 miles 3 furlongs (3,822 metres) in 2007 and 2 miles 3½ furlongs (3,923 metres) prior to a temporary move to Lingfield in 2005/06. Over these shorter distances there were sixteen fences to jump.
