Arun Council election, 2011

Elections to Arun Council will be held in May 2011 to elect members to the council. The incumbent Conservative administration will seek to win a 11th election in a row having controlled the council since 1973. The largest opposition party the Liberal Democrats will hope to increase their number of seats as will the Labour Party who will seek to regain the five seats they lost to both the Conservatives and Lib Dems in 2007.
In 2007 the Conservatives won 42 seats with the Lib Dems finishing second with 9, Labour third with 3 and 2 seats for Independents.
