Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion/Wafflefest

Wafflefest is very much a real thing and so are the ideas behind Waffle World. This is event is the creation of a group of people who share the same ideas, passions, and personalities. The idea behind the article was to produce the entire history of the event from its inception to today. People have been requesting the history of Wafflefest, so I have produced it. In my opinon, it is very notable. —Preceding unsigned comment added by MickelMouse87 (talk • contribs)
- Wafflefest may be notable to you and other participants and maybe people who know you. But the question we are examining here is whether it is notable for inclusion in an encyclopedia. --Fuhghettaboutit 05:05, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
If WP omits any small thing invented in school one day, then I suppose this article should be deleted: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frisbee —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dandaman (talk • contribs)
- Talk about pretzel logic. "Things made up in school one day" is shorthand for describing the predilection of some users, often very young, to post whatever thing they may have made up which no one but they or they and their friends know about. The criteria is notability. Frisbees are notable because every person in this country knows what they are. The fact that the germ of their origin may have been conceived in school is exquisitely irrelevant. --Fuhghettaboutit 21:33, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
