I would offer concensus goes towards a merge with HD DVD encryption key controversy at this point. Any admin want to act?--Cerejota 03:24, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

It looks like consensus is not to delete, but from a quick glance it isn't obvious that either "keep" or "merge" have overwhelming consensus at this point. As such I don't think a premature closing of the discussion would be appropriate, it may not take the full five days to reach a consensus but it isn't there yet. Thryduulf 12:18, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
While I agree it should probably go for a bit longer, most of the people that voted for keep agree that the content should be kept, and have not considered that the name of the article, HD-DVD Night, is a Neologism. Keep in mind that polls are evil. Fopkins | Talk 18:37, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
All the arguments are for notability of the subject not the title. Can this be closed yet? -Wooty Woot? contribs 22:58, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
I have closed early in the interest of furthering progress on the actual article content. There was very little opinion to delete the subject matter, only concerns that our title was inappropriate. Based on the merge requests cropping up independently (and then being squashed in the face of this AFD), the fact that any information present here which got copied into the other article before the deletion would violate attribution requirements of the GFDL, and that this article title was the top Google result for "HD DVD Night", and the relative quality of the two articles, the other article is clearly the home for this topic on Wikipedia. Delaying the inevitable was starting to stifle actual editing/progress on covering the subject, so I closed it faster than usual, but with due regard for the emerging consensus on this page. Any questions, please let me know here or on my talk page. -- nae'blis
I think the redirect should be deleted to be honest, it doesn't seem to be referred to as this by any RS. -Wooty Woot? contribs 20:14, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
I'm not sure, but there may be GFDL issues with deleting the redirect from merged content. In any case, if you think it should be deleted then nominate it at WP:RFD. If you chose to do this it would be courteous to leave a note here. Thryduulf 00:38, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
