    Is that a threat?—Ryūlóng () 23:11, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
    This discussion is to determine the issues with the article. Right now, it looks deleteable. If you improve it, that may sway the opinions of those who come here to discuss it.—Ryūlóng () 23:14, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
    No, I haven't threaten you? That is crazy talk, I just said I had trouble with people trying to post 25 crappy entries. I don't wanna go through with that I know no one does don't either. -Unknown user
    Ok, First post on the deletion page. Well, as you can see by the history page, I've been going through revising the content. This page is as the talk page sugests very similar to the Stephen Colbert Persona Page. And it will be Addressed as such. I am not sure who the user who is becomming irrate on here is, but I know that I am willing to cooperate in any way possible. Ryulong, if you could suggest some areas in which to improve this article content wise, please advise me as such.(Fenixasin) 1:11, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
    The section on the band has been removed pending further information regarding the relevance of it, as this article is soely about the fictional persona of the Musical talent "Doctor Steel" www.Doctor Steel.com also as seen on David Letterman on CBS. P.S. What is the gripe on the use of the image gallery's? It is all relevant information, that is all relating to the persona of this individual fictional character (musical talent). -Fenixasin 8:29, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

Oi, okay I am posting info on the band and will inform the fans not to toy with the page unless they know what they are doing.-Fleshmask

Please do not delete this page,instead of immediatly throwing it in the gutter,help us give it the requirements it needs to be an actual article.Its not some random entry page telling us the exact items on a Burger King menu,it's a page detailing information on the artist-entertainer known as Dr.Steel.Its not just a frivolous article created out of whimsy.-Mentalatrophy

[edit] =Current Standing

As there seems to be a standstill in the opposition getting back in touch for discussion over whether this article is still a candidate for deletion, I am unsure of the status of this article, It is similar to the instance of "Stephen Colbert" who created a fictional character and as a actor the real Stephen Colbert portrayed that character. There are pages that Specifically state Which is the actor, and which is the Fictional Persona / Character, as is the case for this article. The Pages Detail in length which is which, the difference between "Phineas Waldorf Steel" The Real World Person, and "Doctor Steel" The Fictional Persona whom happens to be a Musical Talent / Recording Artist as well. Supplied Record Sales specify Between 85,000 and 92,000 Sold CDs and articles of merchandise, a somewhat substantial amount.

I call upon the community to either suggest "Specific" details where this article should be improved to further improve it's Correct Format in accordance with our (Wikipedia) standards. I have as a third party revamped the information that was provided on the page, and formatted it in accordance with our policies, included the text that this "Doctor Steel" article is about a Fictional Persona, researched a few extra links and dates of apperances on 2 Nationaly Syndicated Late Night Tv Shows, David Letterman and Jay Leno. I too am at a standstill as well. -Fenixasin 14:42, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Resurrection?

I personally fail to see why this article was deleted. I see that most of the votes on the deletion log were for 'keep'. This individual is a real musician, and while that is obviously no reason to have an article, this individual has relevance to such subject areas as self-promoted musicians, mad-scientist archetypes, performance arts, etc. I believe that with hard work this article can be sourced and made into a good article.

For full disclosure, I am a fan of this musician, but I am also a fan of wikipedia, so I would want any resulting article to be well-sourced and written according to wikipedia guidelines. It is true that there are many Dr Steel fans that would want to write this article in an in-universe style, but I believe that it is possible to write about Dr Steel as a fictional character. Any information on the man behind him can be added as it emerges. Man from the Ministry (talk) 16:30, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
