[edit] Sideways bike
this article references a non-notable "Quirky" invention which has not been taken up by any producer. The two quoted sources do not lend credibility to the product as notable; merely that it has received odd news coverage B1atv 21:58, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
- Weak Keep - I get 23,000+ Google hits for "sideways bike". I was also able to turn up some news coverage from 2003. Into The Fray T/C 00:57, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
- Merge into bicycle. This will never be found otherwise, and it's as notable as those bikes that had the big front wheel, or the banana seat, or the chopper. It's an interesting variation on the bike. Mandsford 22:58, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

- comment This is nowhere near as notable as "those bikes that had the big front wheel" (I think you mean Penny Farthings) or the Chopper; both of those were production bikes which were sold and used in their hundreds of thousands. The Sideways Bike isn't in production - it has been "invented" but not sold to anybody. I can't comment on the notability of banana seats as I dont know what that is. - Keep - a curiosity to be sure, but it has garnered press coverage. The article provides a link to a BBC article, and a search through Google News shows coverage in the Boston Globe amongst others. The articles are behind pay-to-view walls, but do look to be different from the BBC article, and look like they are distinct from each other satisfying the condition of multiple reliable sources. -- Whpq 20:38, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
- comment - I forgot to add that I searched using the terms "Michael Killian" sideways. -- Whpq 20:39, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

- Keep - if the argument for deletion is non-notable, then it should be a definite keeper. "Odd" news coverage is still coverage, and meets "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Paulbrock 15:22, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
