The result of the debate was Delete. No evidence of notability. Searching in any language there's only one page of Google results for her Anglicised name and (very sadly) nothing at all in Google Images. Mention her in her boyfriend's article if it's relevant, but as far as I and those involved in the debate can tell she's not notable enough to justify an article nor are there verifiable sources. kingboyk 12:26, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Shira Manor
Not noteworthy Israeli teen model who is a girlfriend of a local musician. Her name is already mentioned as such in the musician's article. The stub does not add any info on the model either. gidonb 17:42, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
- Adding some info: Google has 6 unique mentions of this person (using 2 listings per site). Four of them are created through Wikipedia (alternatively 29 out of 32 non-unique listings were created by Wikipedia) [1]. There is not even a beginning of noteworthiness. Also, please note that the user who created the article has a long history of disruptions. He put his pov about Svika Pick in this article, after he was not allowed and blocked for putting it in the Svika Pick entry. gidonb 18:05, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
- Ironically the only birth date that the article mentions is that of Pick!!! gidonb 18:50, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
- Delete or speedy delete, whatever works. gidonb 17:42, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
- Keep very famous Israeli celeb. Be aware of Gidonb --Haham hanuka 18:03, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
- [2] 13,000 results in Hebrew. --Haham hanuka 18:07, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
With these results in mind, keep if those sources can be translated into English. --Slgrandson 18:15, 10 May 2006 (UTC)- Now I'm changing my decision to Delete. I know what you mean now, Gidonb: subject is non-notable by definition. --Slgrandson 22:31, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
- I will translate a few. Usually these are girls who think it is good or bad that Svika Pick has a young girlfriend. The pages are not about Shira Manor and sometimes not even about Pick (Shira means singing in Hebrew, Manor and Shira are common names, e.g. as in Ehud Manor). gidonb 18:30, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
- Comment The Hebrew hits are automatically created duplicates of 62 messages that are almost exclusively chitchat. [3] I could find 3 pages about this model, one of them here, the other chitchat and the third at her modeling agency. None at he.wikipedia. There is no information on this model at our page that is not in the Svika Pick article. gidonb 18:22, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
- Delete. (1) a POV fork used by the creator of this article, as he was blocked for his edits in Svika Pick. (2) She is a 19 yrs old modelist, one of many dozens like her in Israel. Do we need an article for each one of them? She doesn't have even a Stub in the Hebrew Wikipedia. Clearly NN. Noon 18:59, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
- Shuold we count this user? he has less than 100 edits. --Haham hanuka 19:22, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
- ...Plus more than 1000 in the Hebrew Wikipedia (incl. a Featured Article). The real question is if we should count Haham hanuka, as he is a well known POV pusher (Holocaust Denial material, etc.(one example out of many)), was blocked here about 7 times for his behavior, and was indefenetly banned in his mother tongue Wikipedia where he is a declared Troll (see translation of his Hebrew User page here). Noon 20:20, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

- Haham hanuka seems to have been blocked 9 times (only counting en.wikipedia),[4] including for opening an edit war around his insistence that "Pick is famous in Israel for his love to teenagers and young women" should appear in Svika Pick. This statement (just removed by anon) was the highlight of the article Shira Manor. gidonb 20:30, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
- No, I have more than 5,000 edits on en.wiki, created about 20 new articles, improved dozens of articles, and cleared POV from wiki. What do you do for en.wiki? --Haham hanuka 20:47, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
- I am a very welcome contributor to all Wikipedias. One can read more on my user page. The discussion here, however, is about the noteworthiness of the article Shira Manor, its contents and whether you created it as a pov fork. gidonb 20:59, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

Weak Keep: Although the creation of the article was probably done as a fork, I think the article as currently written can stay, just because she is a model. Although, the article would probably not have been created if she was not Pick's girlfriend, she is probably just as deserving of an article as Melania Trump, who would probably also not have an article of her own if she was not Donald Trump's wife. --Asbl 00:18, 11 May 2006 (UTC)- While both partners are models, the differences are enormous: Donald Trump is a world famous businessman, they are together 6 years, married and a baby is on its way, and - very important - Melania Trump herself had a successful international modelling career. None of all this (!) applies to this recent girlfriend of the Israeli musician. Lets be somewhat more consistent with notability and disruptive behavior at Wikipedia. Regards, gidonb 12:05, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
- Delete per above discussion (my initial position was a weak keep, so it did not take too much to get me to switch over). --Asbl 15:05, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
- ,יש עלייה 13000 תוצאות בגוגל - רק מהסיבה הזאת צריך להשאיר את הערך - היא פשוט מפורסמת --Haham hanuka 15:10, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
- אגב כדאי להיזהר מגדעון - יש לו מלחמות עריכה קשות איתי בנושאים כמו יגאל עמיר והוא עושה את זה כ"דווקא" --Haham hanuka 15:10, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
- These are ridiculous claims (by Hh in Hebrew). I have given you and the rest of the community plenty of time to show why Shira Manor would be notable, not withstanding that was created through a pov fork. You just have not come up with any proof, because she is not notable. The contents of the article are the best proof that she is very NN. Please see the talk and history of Shira Manor, my talk page and the cleanup page for more details on my huge efforts for having this article meet the Wikipedia standards. gidonb 15:18, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
- again: 13,000 results in Hebrew [5]. --Haham hanuka 15:21, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
- See earlier comment. These are all mechanic duplicates. You know it, because Hebrew is your mother tongue. gidonb 15:26, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
- No it's not. I used " " in the search, stop lying, 99% of the results are related to this woman. --Haham hanuka 15:28, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
- I encourage anyone with knowledge of Hebrew to investigate who is not speaking the truth. gidonb 15:31, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

- If you click on the detailed search one will see that the 62 hits open up to a 1000 that are almost all mechanical duplicates of the 62 (because of the forum structures - every detailed message on a page again contains the few messages that use her name). The 62 basic messages are mostly chitchat about the musician and his girlfriend, although some contain other combinations of Shira Manor and extremely rare pages are actually about her (one at the English Wikipedia). Click on any "O" in Gooooooooooogle and anyone can see it. gidonb 15:41, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
- A proof for non-Hebrew speakers, lets take some very popular Hebrew-girl-names like Danna דנה, Maayan מעיין, Shiri שיר, Rona רונה and Yaal יעל now make a search [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] --Haham hanuka 15:45, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
- As I said, the difference is in the meachnical duplication, at such sites as Walla. You do not need to know Hebrew to figure this out. Just follow my link. gidonb 15:48, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
- [11] without walla.co.il - 717 results. --Haham hanuka 15:51, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
- I don't want to get into this cat fight, but I am not impressed with 13,000 google hits. I have a relative in academia with 16,000 google hits, and I personally have 170 google hits. But neither my relative nor myself are notable enough to have Wikipedia articles. --Asbl 15:52, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

Agree both with Haham hanuka that 14.000 duplicates are created by Walla (the rest by others) and with Asbl that count is at most a very tricky indication of notability. For models frontpages of international fashion journals are much more helpful. How many does Shira Manor have? gidonb 15:58, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
- The answer seems to be zero. She is totally unnotable. gidonb 12:51, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
- Speedy delete, non-notablity. If only she had some minimal charitable work, I might reconsider. At most, merge into the Svika Pik article, I have no objection of it being there since that is her claim to fame, nothing else. --Shuki 22:53, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
- Delete as per Gidon. IZAK 07:45, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Comment: Please don't split AfDs like this! An AfD is not a poll - there should not be a separate voting and discussion section. --Philosophus T 11:21, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you for the comment. It was getting somewhat of a mess, but due to your input, I combined again. gidonb 11:29, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
