[edit] Penny Valentini
This is the biography of a high-school science teacher who fails the criteria of Wikipedia:Notability (academics). While it's not in the prose of the article, there's a link to the U.S.'s presidential scholars awards. In 2003, a student in her high school was named a presidential scholar, and that student named Valentini as his "most influential teacher". This does not meet the standard of "The person has received a notable award or honor". She also coached a team of students that did well in a national-level science competition--again, this fails to meet the standards of Wikipedia:Notability (academics) or the more general Wikipedia:Notability (people).
In the article, there's a link to a blog that was in the first version of the article, as well as another link to www.senate.gov that doesn't even mention the article subject, but is about the very real problems of the subject's husband, an officer in the army reserve. They don't add much to the article subject's notability. Darkspots (talk) 12:49, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

- Delete the only notability would be as the coach; i think 2nd place, achieved once, is not notability. if she can repeat it, there will possibly be some awards coming & then she might be notable DGG (talk) 04:55, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
