[edit] Byron Coons
Deletion nomination Contested speedy. Was a long resume of a non-notable artist. Resume was moved to the talk page, leaving a stub article of a non-notable artist. Speedy tag was removed, as resume presumably had assertions of notability. However, there is no non-trivial coverage in reliable sources, and thus no notability, regardless of how long the resume is. - Delete: WP is not a place for resumes, no matter how extraordinary they may be. All that stuff would need to be verified with reliable sources and that might help the article. - Rjd0060 03:49, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
- Delete on the basis of being unable to find any secondary references. --SesameballTalk 06:21, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
- Weak delete. I had a bash at turning the resume posted by the subject into a proper article - hence the rather unsatisfactory stub. The resume implies some claim of notability in that it lists a lot of exhibitions, and I'm not really qualified to judge their significance, except to note that they're nearly all in quite a small geographical area, implying someone who only has local relevance. Google offered little encouragement. Delete as probably non-notable unless someone can do a better job than me of finding some reliable sources. - Delete: The only reliable source I could find was a Byron Coons getting busted for pot at USC in 2003[1]There are a number of galleries that his work has been shown in, but that doesn't make him notable as they are all small (likely commercial) galleries from what I can tell.Toddst1 11:58, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

- Delete resume shows no evidence of notability, just a local working artist. Johnbod 14:05, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
