[edit] Adam De La Lone
Delete as unsubstantiated? The origin appears to be an unsourced assertion repeated on various genealogy websites (see [1]). But I can find no independent verification of the existence of an Adam de la Lone as a commander in the forces of William the Conqueror - nothing in Encyclopaedia Britannica, Oxford Dictionary of National Biography, Oxford Reference Online, Domesday Book online...
