The "MITS Altair 680" was a microcomputer design from 1975, based on the Motorola 6800 CPU ^[1]. The Altair 680 was introduced a couple of months after the Altair 8800.

Инна Чурикова одилась 5 октября 1943 в городе Белебее, близ Уфы. Родители родом из крестьян. Отец - Чуриков Михаил Кузьмич, сотрудник Сельскохозяйственной академии имени Тимирязева, участник советско-финляндской и Великой Отечественной войн. Мать - Мантрова Елизавета Захаровна, доктор биохимических наук. По окончании Воронежского университета работала в Институте картофеля имени Лорха. Супруг - Панфилов Глеб Анатольевич (1934 г. рожд.), кинорежиссер, Народный артист России, лауреат Государственной премии России. Сын - Панфилов Иван Глебович (1978 г. рожд.), окончил МГИМО, юрист-международник.

Когда Инна была еще маленькой, ее родители разошлись, и они с матерью часто меняли адреса, с начала 1950-х годов жили в Москве. Еще в школьные годы Инна поступает в студию при Театре имени Станиславского, руководимую А.Б.Ароновым и Л.Я.Елагиным. Это и определило выбор профессии: по окончании школы Чурикова поступает в Щепкинское училище на курс В.И.Цыганкова. Своих педагогов актриса неизменно вспоминает с благодарностью: они дали ей уроки мастерства, верное направление в профессии. В годы учения в студии Чурикова начинает сниматься в кино. Первая роль - в фильме В.Ордынского "Тучи над Борском" (1961), одном из обширной когорты антирелигиозных фильмов тех лет, разоблачающем сектантов, калечащих юные души. Другие кинороли того периода - в фильмах "Где ты теперь, Максим?", экранном дебюте Э.Кеосаяна, "Я шагаю по Москве" Г.Данелии, "Морозко" А.Роу - здесь актриса сыграла острохарактерную роль мачехиной любимой дочки. В 1965-1968 годах Чурикова работает в Московском Театре юного зрителя, выступает в массовке, в небольших эпизодах. Первые роли в пьесах-сказках - Лиса в пьесе С.Михалкова "Зайка-Зазнайка", свинья в его же "Трусохвостике", баба Яга в "Двух кленах" Е.Шварца. Воспоминаниями об этих годах навеян один из эпизодов в "Начале" Панфилова, где режиссер фильма в Жанне д'Арк впервые видит свою будущую героиню в образе бабы Яги. Были и роли психологического плана (спектакль "За тюремной стеной" по пьесе Ю.Германа, обративший на молодую актрису внимание критики). Параллельно с работой в театре Чурикова успешно снимается в кино: играет в "Стряпухе" и "Неуловимых мстителях" Э.Кеосаяна, "Старшей сестре" Г. Натансона (здесь ее партнершей была Т.Доронина, повторившая на экране роль, сыгранную на сцене БДТ у Товстоногова); в комедии "Тридцать три" Г.Данелии, содержавшей ироничные намеки на счет обычной для советской пропаганды шумихи и показухи, - по этой причине фильм был выпущен на экран малым тиражом. Поворотным событием в биографии актрисы стало приглашение ее на роль Тани Теткиной в фильм "Святая душа" (на экран вышел под названием "В огне брода нет"), который ставил дебютант Глеб Панфилов, выпускник Высших режиссерских курсов. Здесь Чурикова сыграла санитарку госпитального поезда Таню Теткину, обыкновенную девушку, обнаружившую в себе необыкновенный талант художника, дар преображать окружающую ее страшную реальность в картины, полные наивной чистоты, красоты, гармонии. В мире ненависти и нетерпимости, рожденном гражданской войной, "святая душа" Таня заведомо обречена: она и погибает, напоминая своей смертью, сколько неведомых прекрасных талантов унесла эта братоубийственная бойня, какую страшную цену заплатила Россия за революцию. В игре Чуриковой здесь прекрасно соединились высокий трагизм и юмор, нежность и страстность, предельная искренность и отточенная четкость рисунка роли. И главное: актриса нашла своего режиссера, режиссер - свою актрису, которая станет душой практически всех его последующих фильмов. А вскоре соединятся и их личные судьбы. Следующей ролью, которую сыграет Чурикова у Панфилова, станет ткачиха Паша Строганова из провинциального русского городка. Эта роль писалась уже специально для нее. Опять обыкновенная девушка с необыкновенным творческим даром в душе. Она - актриса, и жизнь дает ей прекрасный шанс - сыграть Жанну д'Арк в кино. Прослаивающие "Начало" кадры "фильма в фильме" показывают мощь трагедийного дара Чуриковой, гармонически вбирающего в себя лиризм и иронию. Уже тогда актриса и режиссер вынашивали замысел большого эпического фильма о Жанне д'Арк, для которого уже был написан сценарий, и эпизоды, вошедшие в "Начало", были самым весомым доказательством, что Чуриковой эта великая роль под силу, что в ней она не уступит гениальной Фальконетти, героине одного из лучших фильмов мирового кино - "Страсти Жанны д'Арк" Карла Теодора Дрейера. Немало лет Чурикова жила этой ролью, отказывалась во имя нее от прекрасных предложений (одним из них была Соня в "Дяде Ване" А. Кончаловского).Увы, фильм о Жанне не состоялся. Кинематографическое руководство откладывало и перекладывало эту постановку, обещая непременно разрешить ее (обещание это так и не было выполнено), но сначала надо сделать что-то значительное о современности. Этим словом о современности стала Елизавета Уварова, сыгранная в "Прошу слова". Бывшая работница фабрики, ставшая мэром небольшого городка на Волге, мечтающая преобразить его, соединить обе стороны городка мостом, истово отдающая себя текучке малых дел и вопросов, которые приходится по должности решать, - такова героиня фильма. В ней много от прежних героинь Чуриковой и Панфилова, но если в тех они приглашали зрителя к сопереживанию, то здесь - к анализу и осмыслению. Почему погиб сын Уваровой? От нелепой случайности? Или эта случайность была запрограммирована ее собственным характером и образом жизни? Ее догматической верой в идеалы, реальностью не подтвердившиеся, узостью ее духовного кругозора, ее увлечением спортом (спорт - стрельба), ее поглощенностью общественными делами, не оставившими времени для детей, для нормальных женских забот, для женского счастья? Выполняя по форме социальный заказ, Чурикова с Панфиловым по сути сделали его перевертыш: фильм о "государственной женщине", не обретающей себя в служении государству, а теряющей себя в нем - при всех прекрасных ее устремлениях и благородных человеческих качествах. На выходе фильм был изрядно покромсан редакторскими ножницами по указаниям ленинградского партийного лидера Романова, но истинного смысла и его, и главного образа это не изменило. Совершенно иной и по внешности, и по внутренней сути Чурикова предстает в следующем фильме Панфилова "Тема". Здесь главный персонаж не ее Саша, скромный экскурсовод в музее старинного русского городка, а преуспевший столичный драматург Ким Есенин, сыгранный Михаилом Ульяновым. Но ее героиня - нравственный камертон всей вещи. Столкнувшись с ней, Есенин понимает, что променял свой талант на суету успеха и благополучия, но сойти с накатанной жизненной колеи уже не в силах... И вновь полная внутренняя и внешняя трансформация актрисы в "Валентине" по "Последнему лету в Чулимске" Распутина. На этот раз она играет Анну, мать главного героя, непутевого Пашки, буфетчицу в таежной кафешке. Нет здесь ничего от душевной открытости и чистоты ранних героинь актрисы: наверное, и она когда-то вступала в жизнь, полная надежд и любви, однако жизнь наложила горькую печать на ее характер... Особое место в творчестве Чуриковой - Панфилова занимают горьковские образы - Васса и Ниловна. "Васса" - не случайно именно так назвал режиссер свою экранизацию "Вассы Железновой". В героине Чуриковой акцентируется не ее железная воля, а, напротив, душевная мягкость. Ей бы можно дать фамилию Тестова - тесто податливо, а топором не перерубишь. На таких женщинах стояла и стоит Россия, и прошлая и нынешняя. А горьковская Ниловна в "Матери" поднимается актрисой до высот подлинной трагедии, сохраняя при этом и бытовую конкретность, и точный психологизм характера. Подтверждение высочайшего уровня этих работ - Золотой приз Московского кинофестиваля 1983 года за "Вассу" и двадцатиминутная овация, которой завершился показ "Матери" на Каннском кинофестивале 1990 года, где Панфилову был присужден Специальный приз за вклад в мировое киноискусство. Эти награды по праву делит с ним Чурикова, его актриса, неизменный соавтор его работ. В 1973 году Чурикова получает предложение от Марка Захарова, руководителя театра "Ленком", сыграть Неле (по пьесе роль называется "Неле и другие женщины Тиля") в "Тиле" Гр.Горина по книге Шарля де Костера. С этого времени актриса вновь возвращается на сцену, играет многие роли в спектаклях театра, каждый раз демонстрируя и новизну прочтения образа, и блистательную широту актерского диапазона, и отточенное сценическое мастерство. Среди сыгранных ею ролей - Сарра в "Иванове" и Аркадина в "Чайке" А.Чехова, комиссар в "Оптимистической трагедии" В. Вишневского, Ирина в "Трех девушках в голубом" Л. Петрушевской, Мамаева в "Мудреце" по А.Островскому, Филумена Мартурано в "Городе миллионеров" Эдуардо де Филиппо, Бабушка в "Варваре и еретике" по "Игроку" Ф. Достоевского. В двух постановках "Гамлета", осуществленных на сцене "Ленкома" (первая - А.Тарковским, вторая - Г.Панфиловым) Чурикова сыграла Офелию и Гертруду. В телефильме "Этот самый Мюнхгаузен" по сценарию Гр. Горина, поставленном М.Захаровым с участием актеров своего театра, актриса создала запоминающийся острохарактерный образ покинутой жены Мюнхгаузена. Параллельно с работой в театре актриса снимается в фильмах разных режиссеров. Наиболее памятные из этих работ - в "Военном-полевом романе" П. Тодоровского (удостоена Главного приза за лучшую женскую роль на кинофестивале в Берлине), "Ребре Адамовом" В. Криштофовича, "Годе собаки" С. Арановича, "Плаще Казановы" А.Галина. В "Курочке Рябе" А.Кончаловского Чурикова сыграла Асю Клячину, продолжив судьбу героини, за четверть века до того сыгранной Ией Саввиной в "Истории Аси Клячиной, которая любила, да замуж не вышла". Иная жанровая стилистика нового фильма, построенного на контрасте бытовой достоверности и гротеска, потребовала и иной актрисы, способной выдержать этот непростой диапазон. В последние годы, принесшие немало перемен в театральном деле, Чурикова много и, как всегда, успешно выступает в антрепризных спектаклях. Более 10 лет не сходит со сцены поставленный Г.Панфиловым спектакль "Сорри" (антреприза Д.Смелянского совместно с "Ленкомом"), собирают аншлаги во всех городах страны и ближнего зарубежья "Овечка" (антреприза О.Березовского) и "Старая дева" (антреприза Н.Колесник, режиссер Б.Мильграм) по пьесам Н.Птушкиной. В последнем фильме Панфилова "Романовы - Венценосная Семья" Чурикова впервые не появляется на экране как актриса. Здесь она "за кадром" - дублирует английскую актрису Линду Беллингхем, сыгравшую Александру Федоровну, и выступает как один из авторов сценария (вместе с Г. Панфиловым и их сыном Ваней). Инна Михайловна Чурикова - Народная артистка СССР (1991), Народная артистка РСФСР, лауреат Государственной премии РСФСР (1985), лауреат премии имени К.С. Станиславского, лауреат премии Ленинского комсомола, лауреат премий "Хрустальная Турандот" и "Золотая маска". Живет и работает в Москве.

    On Friday, August 10th, 2007, the World of Warcraft community was in an uproar after a post on the US Server Onyxia's forums. 

The Guild Master of the post progressed Horde Guild made an announcement that he was giving away his guild. His wife, who also played the game, was mentioned in the thread. He explained that he was not giving her the Guild Master privilege because he had been told that his wife was talking to other men, sexually, on Ventrilo.

Mint linux (mintlinux) is a common "second name" used by community to refer to Linux Mint (see sources). It's commonly used and easy to find with web searchers (Google f.e.) or in articles on external web sites, and not present in Wikipedia! Therefore I suggest/propose to add this term as redirect/link/alias to Linux_Mint article in Wikipedia.

Basil Allam was the Chair of the 2006-2007 Society of Petroleum Engineers Emerging Leaders Program. For the past 2 years Basil has worked for Chevron's Angolan Major Capital Projects group designing production control systems. Along with his engineering duties he also serves as co-coordinator for Chevron's University of Oklahoma recruiting team. Basil holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma.

Basil has given presentations at the Hart Energy Recruiting and Retention Conference, SPE Turning Young Engineers into Stars, and the Microsoft Global Energy Forum. He was also featured in an interview in "The Way Ahead" publication for his work with SPE Young Professionals.

Navakanta Barua(1926-2002) is the pioneer of modernity in Assamese poetry. He was born in Guwahati. After obtaining a Master's degree in English literature, he joined the academic profession. He retired as Professor of English, Cotton College, Guwahati. Navakanta has been "Assam’s most loved and respected litterateur". He authored more than 35 books. Among his collections of poetry are He Aranya He Mahanagar, 1951, Eti Duti Egharoti Tara, 1958 and Mora Aru Prithivir, 1973. He also authored novels, belles-lettres and books of literary criticism. He received Prakashan Parishad Puraskar (1974) and Soviet Land Nehru award (1980). He was honoured with the Sahitya Akademi award (1975) for his novel, Kaka Deutar Harh, and the Padma Bhushan (1976). Navakanta Barua has been called “the poet of the crossroads” – one who had an uncanny destiny of finding himself at the crossroads time and again, but who also had the knack of eventually finding the right way towards his destination. A very senior Assamese poet, Nilmoni Phookan, has observed, "Navakanta Barua dominated the realm of modern Assamese poetry. His verses blended the traditions of Assamese, Indian, nay even world poetry. He was by far the true representative of modernism and will forever remain one of the all-time greats of Assamese literature." ^[2]

The subject is the eldest son and heir of a hereditary peer, David Seely, 4th Baron Mottistone. I noted that the eldest son's/heirs of peers are almost always listed in Wikipedia. Nino Gvetadze was born in Tbilisi, Georgia in 1981. She got her first piano lessons from Veronika Tumanishvili at the Tbilisi Z.Paliashvili Music School in 1987. She completed this school successfully in 1998.

In the same year, she began her studies at the Tbilisi State Conservatory with Prof. Nodar Gabunia and later with Prof. Nana Khubutia. Here she received her bachelor's diploma and obtained her master's degree in 2003.

Nino then moved to the Netherlands, where she became a student at the Hague Royal Conservatory, where she is currently studying in second phase with Paul Komen.

From an early age Nino has participated in various concerts; she has played with orchestras since she was six years old.

During her studies in Georgia, she won a grant from the Foundation for the Assistance of Young Musicians of Georgia, founded by Elisabeth Leonskaya. Later she received the Georgian president's scholarship and won a Diploma and two special prizes at the Second Tbilisi International Piano Competition. She performed various concerts with the Tbilisi Symphony Orchestra and played various recitals.

In 2002, Nino was invited to participate in the "Rising Stars" Festival in Austria .

She has taken master classes with Mikhail Voskressensky, Jan Wijn, Boris Berman, Domenique Merlet and Jacques Rouvier.

Less than one year after coming to the Netherlands, Nino won the Young Pianist Foundation National Piano Competition in The Hague. She received First Prize, Grand Prize and the Special Prize for modern work. After the competition she toured the Netherlands, performing concerts in the most important concert halls in Holland. Her recordings were and are broadcasted by different channels of Dutch TV and Radio.

She has played with such conductors as Michel Plasson, Otto Tausk, Eidvind Aadland, Jansug Kakhidze and Martin Andre, and with such orchestras as the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, The Hague Residence Orchestra, Holland Symfonia and Limburg Symphony Orchestra.

In April 2007 Nino performed together with the well known French pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet. After this concert she was invited to participate in the Spoleto Festival, Italy.

At present she performs in the important concert halls of the Netherlands , such as the Concertgebouw (large and small halls) in Amsterdam , the Vredenburg in Utrecht, the Doelen in Rotterdam and the Anton Philipszaal in The Hague.

A rare breed of cat characterized by a brilliantly colored coat. Found in bayous and marshlands all over the world. Although short-hair and long-hair breeds exist, the long-hair Rainbows are dominant. All members of the species are vegetarian. Called by indigenous Cajuns of Louisiana Le Chat Soleil, the Rainbows were and in some areas still are considered magical. Zoologists argue as to the cause of the Rainbows' vivid coloration, but there is growing consensus that the chemical composition of the cat itself is responsible, being 97% water with trace elements of organic quartz. This "prism theory is still disputed in many scientific circles. Plentiful 100 years ago, the Rainbow is now in danger of extinction. Fewer than 7,000 are known to exist worldwide, with approximately 1,500 scattered throughout the southern United States. Isolated numbers have been found as far west as the Grand Canyon; perhaps this migration is due to man's encroachment upon their natural habitat.

The Golden Lions Free Fall Parachute DisplayTeam is the Regular Army Display Team representing the Regiments of the Scottish Division. Team members are all volunteers and are serving soldiers of The Royal Scots, The Royal Highland Fusiliers, The King’s Own Scottish Borderers, The Black Watch, The Highlanders and The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. To become a display jumper all team members have passed a rigorous selection course followed by 12 months free fall parachute training completing a minimum of 200 jumps, before being awarded their Display Licence.

Each Golden Lion leaves the aircraft up to 7,000 feet above ground level, with approximately £2,500 worth of parachute equipment strapped to his back. The parachutes used by the team are “Tri’athalons” American designed, advanced technology ram-air canopies which, when controlled by an experienced jumper, provide forward speeds of up to 30 miles per hour, brake, drop vertically and even travel backwards. In addition to their large square-shaped main parachutes all Golden Lions jump with a similar though smaller ram-air reserve parachute, which in the unlikely event of a main canopy malfunction will still enable the jumper to land in the arena.

Providing the cloud base is high enough and the wind favourable the team will exit the aircraft at 7,000 feet above ground level. Immediately on leaving the aircraft smoke canisters, which are attached to the ankles of the jumpers, will be ignited to enable spectators to easily see the team join together and track through the sky at up to 120 miles per hour (going down) during the free-fall phase of the demonstration. Once below 3,500 feet (it takes about 25 seconds to get there) the team will separate with one soldier continuing to free-fall down to 2,500 whilst the others deploy their main parachutes and once again link up with each other in what is known as canopy relative work or stacking. This is a particularly difficult manoeuvre and one which the Golden Lions will demonstrate at all displays providing the weather allows.

Since their formation in 1969 the Golden Lions have made many notable achievements within the parachuting world. They are the former Army Champions in canopy relative work (stacking), former overall Army Champions, current Scottish National Champions, and still hold the United Kingdom Altitude Landing Record by dropping onto the top of the Cairngorms (4,084 feet). The team are based in The Castle, Edinburgh, carry out parachute training at Strathallan and fly from there to give demonstrations for the public throughout Great Britain. They are available for displays anywhere and at any time of the year.

However still the breeze, it takes both skill and experience to exit the aircraft from 2 miles high then land in the confined space of a display arena and yet The Golden Lions of the Scottish Division make it look so easy. They literally take their lives in their hands each time they perform for the public’s entertainment.

The trekking can be arranged at the Luang Nam Tha Tourist office, at N21 00.180 E101 24.592 Costs depend on the amount of people on the trekking. For example 6 people= 330.000 Kip/each, 3 people= 360.000 Kip/each (including transport, guide, sleeping, food, drinking water etc.)

Trail description

Day one: Ban Chalemsouk to Ban Nalan (5-6 hours)

The trail begins at Ban Chalemsouk, a Khmu village approximately 20 km from Luang Namtha. From here the trail ascends through 10-20 year old secondary forest until emerging into the upland ricefields of the village. The path offers great views as it levels out along a ridge before re-entering the forest. The trees here are older and support a wide range of animal and plant life. Your guide will explain some of the natural history of the area you are trekking through.

A Lao-style picnic lunch is eaten along the way, either in the forest or in the shade of a farmer's hut. In the afternoon, the trail enters the community forest of Ban Nalan. As the trail begins to descend to the village, it passes a small clearing which served as a gun position during the early 1960's, at the time when Pathet Lao revolutionaries and Royalist forces fought in the area.

Day two: Ban Nalan to Ban Namlue (6-7 hours)

The second morning is a pleasant walk following the Nam Ha river. Here the forest varies from stands of large hardwoods to new growths of bamboo. On the way it passes through the village of Ban Nalan Tai (south Ban Nalan) and the open cultivated areas of the Lanten village of Ban Namkoy. Lunch is eaten in one of the houses of this village.

Next, the trail leaves the river and climbs for a couple of hours. This is the most challenging section of the trail, but also the most beautiful, as it passes through the least impacted forest of the trip. Trees up to four or five hundred years old create a dense canopy which provides a habitat for many birds. Pause quietly for a minute or two and you will hear the forest come alive with the sounds of birds and insects.

From the top of the ridge there are spectacular views to the north with Luang Namtha visible in the distance. The final descent takes you past the mountain rice fields and cultivated areas of the mixed Lanten and Khmu village of Ban Namlue. The trail here can be steep and slippery in places, so take your time, especially after a rainfall.

The trail ends at the Lanten village of Ban Namlue. Trekkers return to Luang Namtha by tuk tuk towards the end of the afternoon.

Villages along the way

Ban Nalan Situated on the banks of the Nam Ha River, Ban Nalan is a Khmu village of approximately 35 families. While there you will see evidence of traditional Khmu culture, such as their method of pounding rice and the weaving of distinctive baskets. Trekkers stay in a lodge overlooking the Nam Ha River. The evening meal is usually eaten with a prominent member of the village, and afterwards visitors have the opportunity to spend the evening with villagers, exchanging information about themselves and learning about Khmu lifa and culture.

Ban Namkoy and Ban Namlue Ban Namkoy is a Lanten (also known as Lao Huay) village, while Ban Namlue is a mixed Lanten and Khmu village. During the day, most of the adults will be away working in their rice fields, but trekkers will be invited inside a villager's house for refreshements and, in Ban Namlue, there may be an opportunity to purchase traditional Lanten handicrafts.

The Guides. On your trek you will be led by certified guides. Trained as part of the Nam Ha Ecotourism Project, these men and women are locals, with knowledge of and respect for the natural and cultural features of the Luang Namtha area and the Nam Ha National Protected Area. Be sure to ask them questions about the environment you are trekking through and consult them if you have any questions about village or forest protocol.

Drugs - Please don't do dugs in Laos (and at home). Drug tourism does damage.

Naylor timmo was a maori explorer that explored the 7 seas in his 40ft waka with 20 men. he is looked up to and very respected in modern times and is seen as a hero and a leader. he descovered a town known today as Onewhero which he bred with his brothers and sisters to start a community. he married all of his 9 sisters twice and was thought to be homosexual aswell marrying and having frequent relationships with other maori men.
