[edit] Article for deletion

Dear Artnouveau: The criteria for notability provide specific guidelines for establishing a person as notable. If you are interested in keeping the James Herndon article, then you must follow those guidelines and provide evidence in the article. You mention in your edit note that "dozens of worldwide references" exist, but I see only one external reference, and it is from rawstory, and it doesn't even establish Herndon's notability (tens of thousands of people are quoted / cited in news articles every day--that does not make someone notable). I have nothing against you or Herndon, but the article must establish notability. Please edit the article in such a way that it follows Wikipedia guidelines, otherwise it will be reviewed for deletion. And, by the way, I've been editing wikipedia for years; no one will be mistaking me for a vandal, but thanks for the libel anyway. -Nicktalk 17:46, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
