Artemio Armenta is a government affairs associate at PPIC and is based in PPIC’s Sacramento Center. Before coming to PPIC, he was a news and political producer for Univision. Prior to that, he served as a congressional intern in Washington, D.C., through the Panetta Institute for Public Policy. He was also an executive fellow at the California Environmental Protection Agency. Working with the institute’s senior manager of government affairs, he is responsible for identifying legislation related to PPIC research, assisting in liaison activities with Capitol offices, and providing administrative and logistical support for the daily operations of the institute’s government affairs function and PPIC’s Sacramento Center. He holds a B.A. with a double concentration in international relations (political economy and development) and Hispanic literature and culture from Brown University.
