I reverted becuase according to Adil's comments at Talk:Qazakh, a compromise has not yet been reached. It probably never will. Khoikhoi 23:13, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
- Khoikhoi, I am rather surprised by your revert, when the article clearly is aimed at blaming Azerbaijan and without references. But since you took stance on this, can you please provide evidence about the incident killing Armenian servicemen. Thanks. Atabek 00:51, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

I added the Azerbaijani spelling of the village, per similar edit at Qazakh citing the necessity due to being an exclave [2]. Also a fact tag is added to seek the source as to when and how this village was renamed. The territory of exclave was part of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic from 1918 to 1920, so it seems rather likely that Bashkend was its original name. Atabek 15:04, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
- Oh yes the non-existent Azerbaijan state that appeared out of nowhere in 1918. The territory was part of Greater Armenia for centuries. And its rather likely that the village would of probably be already there before 1918. VartanM 17:37, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
If we add Azeri spelling to this, we will have to add Armenian spelling to Gubatli, Agdam, Zangelan, and Fizuli. After all, they were part of Armenian Democratic Republic in 1920, and are now under control by Armenian forces (not to mention they are historical Armenian lands, just like everything south of Kura currently in "Azerbaijan.")--TigranTheGreat 18:22, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
- Why then Armenian names are inlcuded for Nakhchivan and Qazakh? Those territories are not part of Armenia. Also see Karki (Azerbaijan): It has been renamed Tigranashen by the Armenian government, etc. --Grandmaster 05:46, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
Nakhijevan has a long history of being part of the Armenia and the Armenian reality since the dawn of time. It also has been hotly disputed between Armenia and Azerbaijan for the last 100 years, just like Karabakh. Qazakh--you will have to ask Clevie about it, I don't know much about what's going on there.--TigranTheGreat 22:36, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

The exclave is under control of Azerbaijan since 1992 and is de-facto called "Bashkend", hence the name should be reflected in the introduction. THanks. Atabek (talk) 01:09, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
