Talk:Artesian aquifer
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hello! I don't know why this page says that the artesian well was invented in Artois. It is in fact very common to see artesian wells in (official) archaeological descriptions of ancient sites in Egypt, Syria and Iran. We have to take care. bye --Amizzoni 06:32, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
- 'Artesian' is a European name given by Europeans who evidently had not heard about earlier work elsewhere. But don't believe everything you read on web sites! For example, Artois is not a town. :-) (RJP 12:16, 19 February 2006 (UTC))
