[edit] Fair Use rationale
- This photograph actually depicts a free poster. The poster was posted on a bulletin board in the Workshop Theatre of the University of Leeds.
- A copy was provided to participants of the Conference "Artist and Citizen: 50 Years of Performing Pinter" held at the University of Leeds in April 2007.
- The photograph is a personal photograph posted on the website of the Belarus Free Theatre.
- It is being used as an illustration in discussion of this troupe's performance at the conference in the appropriate section of an article on Harold Pinter and academia on this conference.
- The copyright for the portrait of Harold Pinter, as identified in the poster is its artist Amy Shuckburgh for the commissioned portrait.
- This is a photograph of the poster version of the portrait, not a photograph of the portrait.
- This poster was freely distributed throughout the campus of the University of Leeds. A note citation to the source (the poster) provides a link to the following Royal National Theatre webpage with detailed information about the "Harold Pinter portrait" featured in the free poster.
- As stated there, "Amy Shuckburgh's portrait of Harold Pinter has been exhibited at Trafalgar Studios, London, during the run of Harold Pinter’s play The Dumb Waiter and at 'Artist and Citizen: 50 Years of Performing Pinter', a conference held at Leeds University at which Harold Pinter received an honorary degree. The work has been reproduced in the programmes for The Dumb Waiter, the touring production of Old Times; Betrayal at the Donmar Warehouse; and The Hothouse at the National Theatre, London."
